Community Pitch

Successfully presented to the community, receiving structured feedback and investor introductions.

The AI analysis immediately flagged that my deck was missing a regulatory slide. In fintech, that is a dealbreaker. My advisor helped me build a compliance roadmap that actually made investors more confident, not less.

Lessons Learned

What do fintech investors care about most that founders miss?
Regulatory strategy. Most fintech founders avoid the compliance conversation because it feels scary, but investors need to see you understand the licensing landscape. My advisor pushed me to lead with it rather than bury it on slide 12. That single change transformed investor conversations from skepticism to engagement.
How valuable was having an assigned advisor?
Invaluable. My advisor at Aggie Angels had funded three fintech startups before. He knew exactly which questions investors would ask and helped me prepare answers that showed depth without jargon. Having someone in your corner who has been on the other side of the table is a massive advantage.
What is your advice for fintech founders preparing to pitch?
Get your compliance story straight before anything else. Build a one-page regulatory roadmap showing what licenses you need, which banking partners you are evaluating, and your timeline. Investors in fintech evaluate risk first and opportunity second — if they are not comfortable with your regulatory approach, they will never get to your growth metrics.
