Do I need clinical data to raise for a healthtech startup?

At pre-seed, investors want to see a clear clinical validation plan, not necessarily completed trials. By seed, you should have pilot data from at least 1-2 health systems. Evidence of clinical partnerships significantly de-risks the investment.

How do I address the reimbursement question in my pitch?

Show who pays (patient, provider, insurer, employer), your pricing model, and CPT/billing codes if applicable. The #1 healthtech pitch mistake is building a product no one has budget to buy. Map your revenue to existing healthcare spending categories.

What regulatory pathway should I present to investors?
